3 Ways to Stay Motivated

Hey y'all!

I have lived in BR for over a year now but I still feel really wierd every time I say "y'all"... But EVERYONE says it here so it's kind of hard not to use it lol.

Anyways, welcome to today's post - it is all about #motivation! I got a new watch and every time I wear a watch I feel very productive and ready to get things done. I got this one from MVMT! Have you seen their watches because all of their pieces give me all the heart eyes 😍😍😍 I'm wearing the Lexington watch and I am all for the small face and gorgeous rose gold color. I have a coupon code you can use for 15% off! HERTIME15

Now, aside from having kick as accessories that keep me on task... it's time to get into the motivation! Sometimes I have some major motivation. Motivation to create new videos. Motivation for my freelance work. Motivation to clean and be on top of everything in life. And then there are times where there is no motivation. No motivation to get off the couch, to pick up the pen, to even think about new ideas. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's hard but I think I am understanding how to make it a little easier more often! These are the three ways I stay motivated when I need to get my life back on track!

3 Ways to Stay Motivated

1. ORGANIZATION - If I have any hopes at all at being motivated and productive, I HAVE to be organized. I do this by making daily priority lists. Every morning when I get to my desk, I start off my day by writing out everything I know I need to or want to get done for that day. I also love the gratification of checking something off the list. My lists range from work projects to personal projects and even things like working out. If I see it on that list, then I know I will accomplish it.

2. GOAL SETTING - Every good thing starts with a goal! Think about it! Whether it wsas making varsity for a high school sports team, graduated from college, or landed that dream job; you had a goal. This ties back into my organization. I like to set goals and then create charts and print out to stay on top of them. For example, I have started training for a half marathon. I have never been a runner, so I needed a way to stay motivated for this goal. In my same notebook I write out boxes under the title, 'running' and mark the boxes every time I run. My goal is to have every box checked off at the end of the month.

3. INSPIRATION - We all need inspiration in our lives in come capacity. Inspiration keeps me motivated to try new things. When I scroll through Instagram or Pinterest or am chatting it out with other creative brains, and I hear or see something that sparks my interest, I am instantly motivated to try it for myself. To put my own spin on it. To get up and create. Inspiration is probably one of the biggest things that really kicks me into high gear.

There you have it! The 3 secrets that help keep me motivated! What helps you stay motivated?

xx, Kenzie
