You know what I love? Disney Princesses? HGTV? Spaghetti, you ask?
Well, the answer is yes to all of those but today I am writing about another love of mine; looking and dressing professional.
Some might not agree, but I am serious. I think it is so fun to find that perfect professional, trendy outfit that really lets you feel and think "Yes, I am chic, Yes I am classic, and Yes I can conquer the world! Thanks for asking." (That could just be my inner dialogue and after others read this and respond, I might realize that not everyone is quite as strange as myself but I am [not surprisingly] okay with it.)
This past week I was fortunate enough to attend the Big Ten Fraternity and Sorority Advisors Summer Meeting where I was surrounded by amazing, inspirational, intelligent, empowering minds that I wish to be someday. (YES I AM TOTALLY CRUSHING. IT'S FINE.) And to get to the point, I got to work my skills on those business professional outfits I was talking about.
I have so much fun doing this because I still like to add a little bit of trendy style to the look to keep it original. My favorite look was my new black and polka dot Pixie Mid-Rise Ankle Pants for Women from Old Navy, which I got on sale for $15 dollars in store! I found them on the website for $28 which is still a good deal. What's even better was my top was on sale at Von Maur for $9 dollars! Talk about bargain shopper!! I finished it off with my Steve Madden Nilunda Heels in Sand Suede to add that trendy look to my professional attire. I accessorized with my Alex and Ani's and Fossil watch. (The watch really topped off the professional look I was going for. It says, "I don't have to look at my phone for to tell the time because I am more professional than that and now I look at my nifty watch like my parents do." At least I hope that's what was the takeaway).
