How to Prepare Your Summer Wardrobe

This summer I am alllllll about the two pieces! Basically, because during these hot months, it can be hard to piece together outfits that a) keep you cool and b) look put together and chic. I HEAR YOU! But that's my favorite part about the two pieces because they are like jumpsuits. It looks like you tried without even trying because the outfit is already made for you! And they are airy and the top is usually less fabric, which is is what I'm all about. With this in mind, it is the ideal time to start thinking about those summer vibes and the perfect additions you could add to your wardrobe to make the whole dilemma of what to wear in this crazy heat a little bit easier.

You can thank me later (;

So in addition to those cool two pieces, think about cooler materials.

When it comes to summer, we can often find that we struggle because of the heat. Getting too hot, sweaty and generally feeling uncomfortable is never pleasant, especially when you still have a job to do and things to organize. So the materials you choose for the clothing you wear in the summer can make a dramatic difference. Cooler materials include things like linen, silk and cotton. Adding key pieces to your wardrobe that use these materials can help you to feel light and cooler in your outfit choices. And it doesn't hurt that linen is all the rage right now. I mean seriously, I only ever want to buy linen things haha.

Think about your "go to" pieces.

I mean come on this is a no brainer. If you want to add to your wardrobe you should know what you like and WHY you like it. If you see yourself constantly grabbing a certain dress then ask yourself if it is the material, the fit, or the color. It is easy to add to your wardrobe when you know what makes you feel comfortable and confident. AND knowing how to work your body shape is a plus to. We are all beautiful and strong people here and we all have different assets that God blessed us with. That being said we have different styles and shapes that will help us work it. I  found this super cool website https://shopyourshape.com/calculate-your-body-shape/ that you can use to help you narrow down your body type and then you can decide what kinds of trends are good for you and what you might want to skip for now. But I mean in the end you do you girl!!!!

Okay something that some people might skip over, but you can't forget the accessories.

When it comes to an outfit there is only one real big way to transform the look and make it look a little more different and finished off. That is through your choice of accessories. From the earrings you choose to the statement necklace there is bound to be a different trend you can follow. Some prefer to keep things minimal, like an engagement ring and standard stud earrings, in other words, ME! Even though I do like to mix it up from time to time. If you need any recommendations on rings check out https://diamondexpert.com/james-allen-review/.

Last piece of advice, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone!

Get crazyyyyy and try a different style for summer. Maybe a maxi dress if you always live in jeans. Or, perhaps add some color to that monochromatic closet. Small changes can make a big difference and its a fun way to try something new and have fun. I love getting something I wouldn't normally buy, because 9 times out of 10 I end up LOVING it. But sometimes it sucks and then I praise Jesus for free returns (;
